Caribbean Vibe
This is a collection of photographs taken in NY at the Puerto Rican Day Parade, and in St. Mary Parish on the island of Jamaica. I don't know the people I photographed, my relationship with most consist of one brief conversation or simply an exchange of a nod and a smile. Yet, they speak to me. Not because we share a common culture, or community, but because they have let me in to witness a piece who they are. I love to explore that space between the public face we choose to show, and the vulnerable human that we are.
